This Privacy Policy describes how ServeBot LLC ("ServeBot," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Shadow Cricket mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the App. Shadow Cricket features single-player and online multiplayer modes (including private matches and public random matchmaking based on ranks), team management, and global leaderboards, which utilize a backend database to enable real-time gameplay and progression saving.

3. Information We Process

To provide both the core gameplay and the online multiplayer experience, we process information in two distinct ways: data that is securely stored on our backend, and data that never leaves your device.

3.1 Information Collected and Stored Remotely

We utilize Supabase as our backend database service provider. Depending on how you use the App, the following information is sent to and stored in our database:

  • Account Identifiers: We automatically generate a unique "Guest ID" when you first play. If you choose to link your account to save your progress, we receive secure authentication tokens and identifiers from your chosen provider (Sign in with Apple or Google). Note: We do not require you to manually enter an email address or phone number, relying instead on these secure third-party auth tokens.
  • Profile Settings: Your chosen username (nickname) and handedness selection.
  • Gameplay & Progression Data: Your match history, tier/rank, leaderboard position, team management configurations (fictional characters owned), and win/loss records.
  • Virtual Currency & Shop Data: Your balances for virtual currencies (coins, gems, tokens). Real-money in-app purchases are handled securely by the respective app stores and managed via RevenueCat, which logs your purchase history and virtual entitlements. We do not have access to your credit card or payment information.

3.2 Information Processed Locally (On-Device)

The following information is processed strictly locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or database:

  • Camera input used for pose detection.
  • Pose estimation landmarks or movement-related inferences.

4. Camera and On-Device Pose Detection

Shadow Cricket uses your device camera to detect your body movements so that you can play virtual cricket by performing batting motions in real life.

Your privacy regarding the camera is absolute.

  • All camera processing, pose detection, and landmark generation occurs entirely on-device.
  • No video, camera footage, images, or pose landmarks are ever uploaded to ServeBot servers or our Supabase database.

5. User Accounts, Multiplayer, and Leaderboards

You can play using an automatically generated Guest Account or secure your progress by linking your Google or Apple account.

Because Shadow Cricket features public random matchmaking and leaderboards, certain profile and gameplay data will be visible to other players. When you compete in an online match or place on a leaderboard, your chosen username, handedness, current rank/tier, and general gameplay statistics will be visible to other users globally, regionally, or within your league.

6. Advertising

The App may display advertisements, including rewarded advertisements, served by third-party advertising partners or software development kits ("Ad Partners"). These Ad Partners may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and diagnostic information to serve and measure ads in accordance with their own privacy policies. ServeBot does not control the privacy practices of third-party Ad Partners.

7. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared or disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:

  • 7.1 Other Players: Your username, rank, and gameplay stats are public within the App for matchmaking and leaderboard purposes.
  • 7.2 Service Providers: We share necessary data with our trusted backend and infrastructure providers, including Supabase (for database and authentication hosting) and RevenueCat (for managing in-app purchases and currency entitlements). Apple and Google are also utilized as authentication providers if you choose to link your account.
  • 7.3 Advertising Providers: Third-party ad networks may receive device information as described in Section 6.
  • 7.4 Legal Compliance & Business Transfers: We may disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

8. Data Retention

Your account data, progression, and virtual currency balances are retained in our database for as long as necessary to maintain your progress and provide the App's online features. If you play exclusively on a Guest Account and delete the App, your local link to the Guest ID will be lost, and you may not be able to recover your stats, currencies, or purchases.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is a motion-based game intended for a general audience. If a child uses the App, permission management and use of the device should be supervised by a parent or guardian. The App connects to the internet for public matchmaking, leaderboards, and third-party advertising.

10. Your Choices

Subject to your device settings, you may:

  • Decline or revoke camera permissions (core gameplay will not work without it).
  • Limit advertising identifiers where supported by your device.
  • Choose whether to link a Google or Apple account, or play as a Guest.

11. Data Security

ServeBot takes reasonable measures to protect your information. We securely store your data using Supabase's cloud infrastructure, utilize RevenueCat to securely validate purchases, and ensure your camera feed never leaves your device. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

12. International Users

Our backend database (Supabase), purchase manager (RevenueCat), and third-party advertising services may host and process your data in jurisdictions other than your own, in accordance with their legal terms.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy.
